Notes Born at 6 Grove Place, Lower Marsh, Lambeth. On his marriage certificate he is stated to be a Baker. Labourer (according to his son's Marriage Certificate) Just put his mark on his son's marriage certificate. Age 31 in 1881 census, so was born about 1850, is a Labourer. Lived at 3 Lees Place, Southwark in 1881. In 1891 was a woodcutter, age 41, living at 1 Providence Place (St George Martyr, Southwark) with his wife and four children. In 1901 was lilving at 3 Parliament Street, St George Martyr, Southwark. He was then a widower. Died in January 1909 in Southwark Workhouse. Judging by other records on the same page, he is buried at Brookwood Cemetery, Woking, following an inquest.
