In 1871 census she is living in Adur Terrace, Southwick with six children. In 1881 census she is living at 42 Albion Street, Southwick, aged 48 and is recorded as a Master Mariner's Wife. He husband was not at home (she is down as the Head of the Household) - presumably he was at sea at the time. In 1891 census is living at 31 Adur Terrace, Southwick with four children. Her husband was presumably at sea.
