Born about 1876. On the census it stated that he was born in the USA. He married Rachael Livsey in Jan-March 1899 in Oldham (ref Dec 1899/Oldham 8d/760) and they had a daughter Annie Livsey Cocker in Oct-Dec 1899 (ref Dec 1899/Ashton 8d/487), while living in Ashton under Lyne. He is found living with them in Ashton in the 1901 census.
