Notes In 1851 census is aged 5 living in Slammanan with her parents. In 1861 census is aged 14 and living in Avonbridge. In 1871 census living with husband and children in Greyrigg, Avonbridge. First child (Robert) was born in Kirknewton, south of Edinburgh. He was born before she was married (probably working as a domestic servant there). This is the only evidence that she ever left the Avonbridge area. Known as Jessie - was named this on the 1891 census. In 1901 living in Glenview, Muiravonside and was an Engine-keeper's wife. Died at home at Glenview Cottage, Avonbridge, of senile decay and cardiac failure.
